The Brio has a completely new case to house its improved circuits and parts. It now sits in a fully aluminium two-part case which boosts the Brio’s heat sinking capabilities and improves on Rega’s already solid build quality and reliability.
The new Brio has a cleverly integrated headphone socket specially designed to avoid interference with the audio circuit when not in use and as you would expect, a very high specification moving magnet phono stage is built in as standard.
Throughout the design process the Brio has been meticulously improved in every aspect, from the quality of materials to the manufacturing process, to make this new Brio a step ahead in Rega’s engineering and design for amplifiers.

Replacing the multi award winning What Hi-Fi? Product of the Year (RP3) was never going to be an easy task. It took our team of designers headed up by Rega’s Roy Gandy, two years to develop the all new ‘Planar 3’ following the biggest re-design of the iconic ‘Three’ model ever seen. The ‘Planar 3’ is a completely new turntable carrying over just two components from the previous RP model.
Rega’s now legendary head electronics engineer Terry Bateman spent 10 years researching the concept of a CD player using valves in the output amplifier.
Valves have been widely used in musical instrument and recording amplification from the 1950s to the present day, therefore it made great sense to develop a valve-based CD player to match that of the signal chain found in such applications.
Rega’s flagship CD player, the Isis, is a product manufactured to the highest achievable quality inside and out including Rega's own unique CD technology, genuine black chrome lid and front facia and a custom solid anodised aluminium case.
Striking teardrop turntable with decoupled motor and carbon fibre-topped chassis. Designed to replace the award-winning RPM 5.1, the RPM 5 Carbon takes a technological, audible and cosmetic leap forward compared to the high standard set by its predecessor. Supplied without Cartridge.
The latest edition to the RPM range of turntables follows on from where the hugely popular Genie 3 left off. The RPM 3 Carbon also boasts a number of improvements from its sibling, the new RPM 1 Carbon.
