Sonatas in E-flat major and G minor for Flute and Obbligato Harpsichord.
J.S. Bach BWV 1033, 1031, 1020
This hauntingly beautiful piece, arranged for flute and piano by the composer, is extracted from Rutter's large-scale work Visions. The expressive solo line features long phrases and a quasi-improvised section, making it an ideal concert work for intermediate to advanced flautists.

This edition follows that in the first series of the Flute Player's Journal published by Rudall Carte and Co. The dynamics added to the original flute part are derived from the more detailed piano score, and inconsistencies have been, wherever possible, resolved.
Written in 1747 while C P E Bach was in Berlin, probably for his then employer Frederick the Great or for Frederick's teacher, J J Quantz, it was not printed until 1763. Like his father J S Bach, C P E Bach chose the key of A minor for his only compositon for solo flute but it's structure is quite different to that of Bach senior.
This is the Marc Reift edition of Meditation From Thais: Flute And Piano for Flute and Piano.
