As the sibling of the sE Electronics V7 Vocal Microphone, the V7 X provides the same high-end audio fidelity and performance as the original V7, but designed for instrumental recordings. At the heart of the microphone is the custom DMC7 X capsule. This capsule has been specially designed for this microphone, optimised for instrumental recording. The custom-tuned capsule provides a smooth and balanced sound in the upper frequency range as well as providing a powerful low-end. The result is crisp and detailed sound, ideal for everything from drums to brass instruments.

The microphone features a wide range of premium-grade components as well as the custom capsule. The Neodymium magnets provide exceptional sensitivity and superb consistency. It also features a gold-plated XLR connector, providing optimal signal integrity for optimal reliability. It also boasts an internal windscreen this is efficient in minimising wind noise and plosive sounds. The integrated capsule suspension helps to decouple the capsule from operational vibration, ensuring low handling noise.

The compact yet robust design features all-metal housing with a bevelled spring steel grille. The road-ready construction can easily withstand the rigors of extensive use, whether in the studio or on the road. The bevelled edge around the grille helps to stop the microphone from rolling when placed down. The steel mesh grille is also dent-proof and corrosion-free for improved reliability.
